The Language and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory

Our laboratory is composed of a team of graduate and undergraduate students who study language processing and the neural mechanisms involved, focusing on lexical access and all its interfaces, such as morphology, morphosyntax, syntax, and orthographic processing. We enjoy working at the interface with phenomena such as variation, bilingualism, and atypical development, which often requires the investigation of cognitive interfaces such as attention, memory, emotion, and social cognition.

We use psycholinguistic methods and work with EEG, more specifically with ERP. Our neurophysiological work is only possible thanks to intensive collaboration with the ACESIN laboratory at UFRJ .
